The Geierlay suspension bridge is 360 meters long, 100 meters high and connects the municipalities of Mörsdorf and Sosberg across the Mörsdorfer Bachtal valley. It was built based on a Nepalese model, is open all year round, 24/7, and admission is completely free.
The construction weighs around 57 to 62 tons and withstands extreme wind speeds of over 200 km/h.
The bridge was initiated as a tourism project by the municipality of Mörsdorf and opened on October 3, 2015.
