Ploskovice Castle was built as a summer residence by Grand Duchess Anna Marie Františka Toskánská in the first quarter of the 18th century. According to the decorative fashion of the time in the Italian-Chinese style, she furnished it with all the luxury of a small Versailles. In the middle of the 19th century, the castle became the private residence of Emperor Ferdinand V. Habsburg. One of the best Czech painters and decorators of the 19th century, Josef Navrátil, was largely involved in its decoration.

The baroque summer residence is located in the middle of a large park, where you can also visit artificial water caves. On the 1st floor of the castle, visitors can admire beautiful paintings by the painter Josef Navrátil, view collections of furniture, paintings, glass and porcelain. There are fountains with water jets, a pond and rare vegetation in the park. A tour of the castle takes about 70 minutes. It is possible to park in a private paid parking lot in the village.
