History must always be remembered. A visit to the Small Fortress is therefore the duty of every contemporary citizen. I have been here several times and this time with a perfect interpretation. The small fortress is a distinctive part of the city of Terezín and is located on the right bank of the Ohra. From its beginnings, it served primarily as a prison. It was probably the most famous and at the same time the saddest prison from 1940 to 1945, when it belonged to the Prague Gestapo.
