Welcome to the ZOO HOF,
our small but very nice family zoo.
Founded in 1954, it is part of the old Bürgerpark Theresienstein, located above the Saale on the outskirts of the city.
As the only zoo in Upper Franconia, it accommodates about 100 hectares of animals in many walkable enclosures, a savannah and a night house.
In addition, it offers a summer restaurant / cafe and beer garden with a view of the playground and the large tree house, as well as a natural history exhibition, a geological museum and the Geological Garden.
