An iron lookout tower in Janov (approx. 5 km north of Hrensko) was put into operation in December 2013.
Not to be overlooked is the use of the tower as a telephone pole.
The tower stands on the hill called "Janovský vrch", the peak of which is 320 meters high. 40 meters total height with 161 self-counted steps.
Once at the top, a truly impressive view awaits you.
The Lilienstein, Papststein Pfaffenstein and in the east the Ruzovsky vrch are good to see.
You can also see part of the peaks of the Lusatian Mountains, the rocks of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains with the Prebischtor, the Silberwand, the Hoher Schneeberg, the Rosenberg and of course the localities in the area.
If possible, take binoculars with you.
