Today's Kremper St. Peter Church was built between 1828 and 1832 in the classical style by Friedrich Christian Heylmann. The plans come from the then well-known Danish builder C. F. Hansen. Christian Frederic Hansen was born in Copenhagen on February 29, 1756, so he was already over 70 when the church was being rebuilt in Krempe. From 1784 to 1844, Hansen was a master builder in Holstein, living in Altona, Denmark. In addition to official buildings, he also created many private buildings, including some houses in the Palmaille in Altona. We find similar church buildings by Hansen in Copenhagen, Husum, and Neumünster.
Our St. Peter Church is characterized by excellent acoustics, which repeatedly inspire church musicians.

The altar An almost wall-high pulpit altar is framed by two colossal columns that support a gable crowned by a cross.
