The town hall of Nýřany was built in the years 1885 and 1886 in the Neo-Renaissance style. The administration for the approximately 7000 inhabitants of the town is located here. The mayor is Pavlina Caisova. Nýřany is more than 750 years old. It is already mentioned in a document by Pope Gregory X in 1272. After the discovery of a coal deposit in 1830 and the commissioning of the railway line in 1861, the village experienced rapid development and a strong influx of new residents. In 1880, 9300 miners worked in dozens of mines.
