The monument commemorates Anna Letenská (1904-1942) from Nýřany, who became famous as a theatre and film actress. She was executed by the Nazis on October 24, 1942, in the Mauthausen concentration camp because she participated in the resistance and had hidden wanted resistance fighters. The following inscription is on the monument's pedestal: “The life of Anna Letenská was destroyed during the occupation. What a wonderful, cheerful and brave person she was! – Jan Pivec“. The bust was unveiled on her death anniversary in 2021.
