Hiking

Pilsen is most certainly known for its beer. That's a good reason. For you as a racing cyclist, there is one more: Pilsen was regularly stage goal of the International Peace Race. If you drive here, you probably will not race, so you have the chance to combine both. Just ride the bike to the great square of the Republic and enjoy a delicious, cool Pilsener framed by magnificent historic houses in one of the cafes or restaurants. ;)

Hiking

On three corners of the square are the modernly designed fountains from July 2010. Architect Ondřej Císler designed them, using motifs from the Pilsen coat of arms: a greyhound, an angel, and a camel. The water spouts are made of gold-leaf-covered bronze; the basins into which the water falls are made of black granite.
