The Pottmühle dates back to 1938 and is mill number 9 on the Westfälische Mühlenstrasse. The conical tower windmill was once built of brick and quarry stone masonry and definitely adds to the attractiveness of the place.

The Pottmühle Petershagen is a two-story gallery Dutch windmill from 1938, a very large conical tower windmill made of brick and quarry stone masonry with a raised gallery. The wings used to have blinds. The facility is partially preserved.

The Pottmühle (Petshagen windmill, mill route no. 9) is visible from afar and characterizes the landscape on the edge of the high bank above the Weser floodplain. The Galerie-Holländer, built in 1938 as the last windmill in the district, with its 18 meter high, slightly conical quarry stone tower, replaced a royal mill from 1745 that was only half as high. The name "Pottmühle" became generally accepted in the course of the 19th century and has been used ever since also in official documents; it is said to be due to the fact that the shape of the mill tower at that time resembled a coffee pot ("coffee pot") that was in use at the time. The mill has been owned by the Büsching family since 1883.
