About Sonnenreimer

After the service in the Church of the Resurrection in the morning and the thoughtful side of Remembrance Day, I took advantage of the dry weather in the afternoon for a short bike ride🚴🚴♀️ to the Advent market on the farm of the Stücke sheep farm on the Wittel. A little festival of sensual pleasure…

Shortly before dark I spontaneously did a little lap 🚴♀️🚴 along the Weser to Vlotho and back. With the last of the daylight 🌞 I was able to photograph the brand new cyclist bridge over the Bristenbach and behind it the first historic derrick crane 📸📷. Anyway. Otherwise, I was happy and grateful…

Despite the nasty wind and the early darkness, I still got a few 🚴♀️🚴 kilometers in my legs and plenty of fresh air in my lungs: that was the best part of the evening.🌞Cycling isn't really fun anymore at this time of year. At least it stayed dry. So unfortunately I only brought a few photos📷 with…

I spontaneously took advantage of the dry and sunny weather🌞 for a little 🚴🚴♀️ walk around the Uffelner See, a former gravel lake. Unfortunately there wasn't enough to take attractive photos of the lake this time because it was getting dark.😢 At least I was able to walk around it and avoid various…

Despite the "mixed" weather forecast🙈😢, I took this tour because I really wanted to go to the traditional St. Martin's market in the museum courtyard. I do not regret it. “Thanks” to the nasty spray that started shortly after the start, it was only an ultra-short lap🚴🚴♀️ of a full eight (!!!) kilometers…

Windy, but dry: almost optimal autumn weather 🌞 for a short bike ride 🚴🚴♀️ to the neighboring town. Thought, done! And of course I brought a few photos📸 with me, even though I had to stop taking photos halfway due to the early darkness. Nevertheless: It was a nice tour.😊🙋♂️

An almost perfect autumn evening!! And lo and behold: the little trip to the neighboring town of Vlotho was a fireworks display of pictures and wonderful impressions. The beautiful half-timbered and Art Nouveau houses, the St. John's Church, the St. Stephen's Church, the Sound Fountain and, to top it…

The sunny moments 🌞 in the afternoon inspired me to take a little photo bike ride west to Kirchlengern. Good idea on the last “long” summertime evening! But as soon as I had taken the first photos, more and more clouds appeared and the sun visibly disappeared behind them. The first shower hit me just…

For the end of October, the weather (overcast, but dry and not too cold) was ideal 😊for a manageable bike tour🚴♀️🚴, on your own doorstep, so to speak. Best opportunity to continue my Löhner church tour with part 2. This time I managed at least five churches before darkness fell at the Martin Luther…

Today, as announced, the new cyclist and pedestrian bridge over the southern railway in Bad Oeynhausen was opened to traffic. By the way, it's called the Jordan Bridge. Not because it's "over the Jordan", but because it connects Bad Oeynhausen's landmark, the Jordansprudel, with the southern part of…
