On April 23, 1898, villagers planted a pedunculate oak in Kauschaer Dorfplatz on the occasion of the 70th birthday and the 25th anniversary of the throne of the popular King Albert. Its tree crown has now a diameter of 35 m, the trunk circumference is 5.10 m and the height is about 25 m. It is the largest specimen of all Alberteichen planted at that time. The pedunculate oak Kauscha has been designated as a natural monument ND80 since 1957.Source: de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kauscha
