The Morozov Merchant House in Gorokhovets is the work of the legendary Gorokhovets carpenters, the "yakushi," and a striking example of residential construction from the early 20th century. In the Morozov House's living room, you can see furniture crafted over a century ago by master woodcarvers. The historic interiors house an exhibition at the "Marfa Posadnitsa" Museum of Technical Thought, which reflects the development of industry in the Gorokhovets District and the district's most widespread seasonal industry of the 19th and early 20th centuries—boilermaking.
