The brightly white neo-Gothic church, built in 1886–1888 at the corner of Karla IV Street, dominates Senovážné Square. The building stands on the grounds of the former monastery complex of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Charles Borromeo, which also included a church and an orphanage. It is a single-nave building with a small tower, a sacristy, and a choir loft. The altar was located in the southern part of the building. The church was designed in the Beuron style by the Benedictine Gislen Béthun. Walls and ceiling are richly decorated with predominantly floral and geometric motifs.
