From the Lombardsbrücke you can have a beautiful view of the Binnenalster and the historical buildings surrounding it. From here you also have a great view of the forty-meter-high Alster fountain, which has adorned the Jungfernstieg panorama again since June 22, 2023. The fountain had been bubbling here since 1987 until its operation was stopped on September 1, 2022 to save energy. Now it can be seen again daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Lombardsbrücke is a road and railway bridge over the Alster. It marks the old route of the road pavement that separated the Outer Alster from the Inner Alster. The bridge is 69m long and spans the Alster in 3 arches. It is crossed under by a pedestrian tunnel.
