Lelystad 🇾🇪
Lelystad ist die Hauptstadt von der Provinz Flevoland. Von hier führt ein 26km langer Damm nach Enkhuizen. Er trennt das Markermeer vom Ijsselmeer und verbindet Flevoland mit Nordholland.

Just today, Northern Europe's largest boat show was held in Lelystad - Hiswa Te Water. Therefore, we had to bypass Bataviahaven.
Otherwise, a nice tour, great cycle paths through the nature reserves and Lelystad. We rode halfway across the dam to Trintelhaven. There we had coffee and cake at the Roadhouse

Unterwegs in der Veluwe 🇾🇪
Die Veluwe ist das größte zusammenhängende Waldgebiet der Niederlande.
Hier kann man herrlich radeln und wandern.
Sie liegt auf der anderen Seite der Veluwerandmeere in Gelderland. Mit einer Radfähre sind wir ans andere Ufer gelangt. Die Fähre nimmt max. 12 Fahrräder mit.
Zurück sind wir in Harderwijk über den Knardijk…

The bike ferry to Nunspeet is really recommended. An experience, especially when there's a good wind blowing. And then the Veluwe... simply fantastic... what bike paths. Sometimes winding, then up and down or dead straight.

I find it particularly interesting that the forest districts Reve-Abbert and Roggebotzand were formerly sandbanks.
Roggebotzand was probably a treacherous sandbank in front of the IJssel estuary, where many ships sank.
There is also a gene bank here, where the original Dutch trees and shrubs are secured for the future.

What weather, it had everything... Towards Zeewolde, a strong headwind with a few showers and sunshine. On the other side, in Gelderland, the wind blew us along. Shortly after the ferry crossing, a proper downpour and in NG Bloemkampen, wonderful summer sunshine weather.
