Hiking
The historic fountain on Friedensplatz (Peace Square) dates back to the early 19th century. It was built between approximately 1800 and 1810. The square stone basin has a central column with water-spouting lion heads in all four cardinal directions. In 2005, these metal gargoyles and the basin structure were extensively renovated. On hot days, the fountain has a device for creating a cooling mist.
