It was created at the initiative of Queen Marie de Médicis in 1612. The surface of the garden and its 25 hectares is divided into two: one part in the French style and the other in the English style. Between the two stretches a geometric forest and a large pond. You can also see an orchard with -among many others- some old and forgotten varieties of apple trees, a beehive to learn about beekeeping, greenhouses with an incredible and amazing collection of orchids and a rose garden. The garden has 106 statues scattered throughout the park, the monumental Medici fountain, l'Orangerie and the Davioud pavilion.
