In 1892/94 the corporation "Großer Kurfürst Berlin" built a brickworks in Klein Kölzig, in which until 1962 the typical Lusatian yellow clinker bricks were produced. In 1920, a field railway was put into operation for the transport of clay, which had a route length of 4.5 kilometers. Today visitors can look forward to the only brickworks in the region with a completely preserved ring kiln. On a guided tour through the property, you can get an insight into the production processes, which are characterized by heavy manual labor. It also explains why the building survived the difficult period after production was stopped. Afterwards, guests will be invited on a ride on the club's field railway on the first completed section.
