A tour should always be planned well, not that I am standing in front of closed doors again as with the Loreto Chapel. So check the internet, open today. Get on the box and off you go. Nice drive through the Mandau valley to Großschönau, Varnsdorf is not that great, so on to the Burgsberg observation tower. Once at the top I can already see scaffolding and there is also construction noise. First look for the cash register, which is unfortunately closed. A small note in Czech indicates that the tower will be closed until 2022. But as Confucius says, "The way is the goal".

The Loreta Chapel was built at the beginning of the 18th century. The Loreta Chapel of the Virgin Mary - Santa Casa (Heilges Haus) was built from sandstone as a true copy of the Italian original. Unfortunately the chapel was closed. So that you don't drive for free like me, see opening times at loretarumburk.cz

Ceska Kamenice has a historically well-preserved town center. The chapel of the Birth of the Virgin Mary is a sight. On the way back I drove through the Rabstein area. During the Second World War there was a concentration camp here, the prisoners had to carve an underground factory of incomplete dimensions into the rock. A visit is possible as part of a guided tour. Contact details See pictures. I took the tour a few years ago, very interesting. The tour takes about 2.5 hours.

The viewing terrace was built at the beginning of the 18th century and is about 160 m above the Elbe. The view of the Elbe valley is fantastic. The hotel is a bed and breakfast hotel and offers bed and breakfast stays. A snack takes care of the physical well-being of the day guests.
