From this bridge, you have a good view of the impressive Kesselstraße power plant over the Iller, which went into operation in 2009. Its architectural design by Kempten-based firm Becker Architekten has received multiple awards. Behind the power plant, you can also see the famous Iller bridges, which are also worth a visit.

In early November 2007, construction of the new run-of-river power plant on Keselstraße began. The old building from 1958 was completely demolished and a new construction was built. The investment costs amounted to around 15 million euros.
On December 11, 2009, the topping-out ceremony took place at the power plant. Next to the power plant are the old, listed brick buildings where the "Mechanische Baumwollspinnerei und -weberei Kempten" (Kempten Mechanical Cotton Spinning and Weaving Mill) had its production until the mid-20th century.
