The Crown Princess's Bastion (Danish: "Kronprinsens Bastion") in Nyborg was one of the three large bastions built in the 1660s as part of the city's fortifications. It is still relatively well preserved today and is an important part of Nyborg's historic ramparts. The bastion was strategically important and, among other things, protected the city's Land Gate. It separated the northern and eastern moats, where a three-meter difference in water level was used to power the castle mill. In the summer, the Crown Princess's Bastion serves as a venue for the open-air theater "Nyborg Voldspil."
It is believed that the Crown Princess's Bastion and the also preserved "Dronningens Bastion" (Queen's Bastion) were of a similar size to the no longer preserved "Kongens Bastion" (King's Bastion).
