The castle is one of the better preserved Renaissance castles in Denmark. The castle was built in 1579 and has been owned by the Holck family since 1672. It has been used for meetings and celebrations for the past 11 years.

The palace garden is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed on Saturday and Sunday according to the information at the entrance. Access to the castle is not permitted.
