The only thing that survived the A-bomb are a few trees that can be viewed on this site. Everything else was rebuilt after thirteen years of inactivity. The trees are still there, a sign says that they survived the devastating effects of the bomb.

The castle Hiroshima 1945 completely destroyed by the atomic bomb.

Thirteen years later, the main tower of the castle was rebuilt in reinforced concrete, as were many castles in Japan after the war. In recent restoration work, the main gate of the castle and two towers were reconstructed.

The castle of Hiroshima fortunately survived the attack of 1945 Heilwegs and could be restored. The castle can be visited and the garden around the castle invites you to take a walk and relax.
