The fraternity memorial in the south of Eisenach on the Göpelskuppe is the war memorial for the 87 fraternity members who died in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71. It was erected in 1902 as a national monument of the German fraternity to commemorate the unification of the Reich.

The fraternity monument on the Göpelskuppe has been a popular tourist destination for over a hundred years. Located opposite the Wartburg, the reopened balconies offer a breathtaking panoramic view of the Thuringian Forest, the Hörselberge, Eisenach and the most beautiful view of the Wartburg.
