One of the sights when cycling around the wooded trails of Avery Hill Park, at out of the trees and at the crest of the green fields; Greenwich University's winter garden and magnificent hothouse, containing tropical trees and plants from around the world. There is also a rose and flower garden, making a pleasant place to sit and relax. The Green Chain Walk runs through the park.

The Winter Garden at Avery Hill Park is one of the park’s most charming and distinctive features. Set beside the historic Avery Hill House, it offers a more formal and ornamental feel than the rest of the park, with sheltered paths, structured planting, and a peaceful atmosphere. Originally part of the old Avery Hill estate, it adds a real sense of character and history to the walk, and was easily one of the standout highlights of the route.
