We were lucky today and arrived shortly before the kitchen closes this evening - so we could still enjoy a tarte flambée.

Hiking hut of the PV Maikammer.
Large outdoor area with playground including "boulder wall".
Many parking possibilities and good location as a starting point for hikes.
Unfortunately, 5m from the outside, the country road passes, which is frequently frequented on weekends.

The Totenkopfhütte of the PWV Ortsgruppe Maikammer gets its name from the skull found here. Here on the Roman road also burial mounds were found.

Has many people, as can be approached directly from the street. I do not know the hut myself, because I ran right on. Behind the hut but it has beautiful places in the woods. Many cyclists start their tours here, as there are enough parking spaces.

The cabin is great, the hospitality really great ... but unfortunately not really recommended because of the road that passes right by it .. Relaxation in the beer garden is rather not really possible.

There is much more to discover here than tasty food and drinks.

With parking, ideal as a starting point for a hike. Tasting in summer from 11am to 6pm except Mondays. It's a pity that I was here on a Monday.

My favorite hut par excellence! Great team, always a smile and a nice saying on the lips! The pea soup - power food par excellence. The tarte cake? Alsace can pack. And certainly the many types of cake!

You can start beautiful hikes here, you are already up there.
My favorite winter tour from Hüttenbrunnen, the likelihood that it will be a snow tour is great.

I don't like the food and the ambience, but at least it's easy to park 😬

A great hut to stop by. There is a large outdoor area, a large children's playground and there is even a climbing wall. There is also a large parking lot.

Very nice paths and 3 rest stops on the way. Be sure to pay attention to the opening times. We hiked on Tuesdays and unfortunately the castle and both huts have a rest day.
