Hiking

From Hasenfeld through the "Wingerten" to Blens you have a very nice view of the Rur valley. Continue from Blens to Hausen in the Kaffeestübchen (Monday and Tuesday rest day) to delicious cake and huge puffs. Then up to the Eichelberg (above Heimbach, very nice town right on the Rur.

Hiking

From here you have a beautiful view of the well-preserved Hengebach Castle. The ascent to the castle is very worthwhile, as you can enjoy great panoramic views from the tower of the castle. There is even an elevator available for visitors who are not very good on foot.
