"... The picturesque alleys at the foot of the medieval Hengebach Castle cast a spell on every visitor. Dreamy corners, lovingly restored half-timbered houses, galleries, cozy inns and street cafes create an atmosphere that makes every holiday an experience.
Heimbach is idyllically situated on the Rur, between the Eifel mountains of the upper Rur valley and is surrounded by extensive forests. In addition to numerous sights, Heimbach also offers a variety of leisure activities; i.a. a modern outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, boat and kayak rental, children's playground and football fields, nature trails, mini golf and 150 km of marked hiking trails. In the summer months, spa concerts and folk events take place in the spa gardens and at Hengebach Castle. ... "
