Hiking Highlight
The pedestrian bridge bears the name of Adolf Kiepert. Kiepert owned the Marienfelde estate. He was head of office in Marienfelde and a member of the Reichstag. Together with Max Eyth he founded the German Agricultural Society. Adolf Kiepert was born on August 23, 1820 in Berlin and died on January 10, 1892 in Marienfelde. He is buried in the cemetery next to the Marienfelde village church.The pedestrian bridge built in 1989 led over an industrial railway that has since been closed. The Teltower Dörferweg now runs along the route and meets the north-south path at the bridge.
