In the Middle Ages, the Zittau meatbanks were a trading center of the Butchers' Guild, which was centrally located near the market. The neoclassical arcade combined 3 shopping streets of the city.
In my childhood there was also the weekly market held.
After the fall, decay and vandalism continued and the passage to the Bohemian road had to be closed.
Today, the small market stalls are maintained with great effort and on their own initiative by Zittauer dealers, restaurateurs and tradesmen as well as possible and are open to various events in the city.
I have the scheme in the www. "Stolen".
