In the Middle Ages, the Zittau Fleischbänke were a trading center for the butchers' guild, centrally located near the market. The neoclassical arcade connected three shopping streets in the city.
When I was a child, the weekly market was also held there.
After the fall of communism, decay and vandalism continued and the passage to Böhmische Straße had to be closed.
Today, with a lot of effort and on the initiative of Zittau traders, restaurateurs and business owners, the small market stalls are maintained as best as possible and are open to various events in the city.
I have the schema on www. "Stolen".

The existence of the historic butcher's shops dates back to the town's origins.
The town's butchers were allowed to sell their wares at these locations on certain days of the week. Similar "bread shops" also existed, but these no longer exist.zittau.de/en/node/700
