To contain the scourge of a new plague epidemic that broke out here in 1666, this chapel was built outside the walls in 1667. It is dedicated to the Virgin, Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch. There was a plague cemetery nearby.
In 1965 the redoubt behind the chapel was demolished to build buildings. During the excavation work, bones from the old cemetery were discovered.

1675 Chapel enlarged.

1676 Secularized by Imperial troops.

1683 Reopened for worship. Confiscated during the French Revolution and reacquired by the parish on March 30, 1804.

The Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours (German Our Lady of Good Help) is a Roman Catholic church in Lablachère in the French department of Ardèche, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The pilgrimage church of the diocese of Viviers bears the title of a minor basilica. The neo-Gothic church dates from the 1850s and stands at the highest point in town.
