Wonderful view of the Rur valley and the reservoir.
The forest chapel was built from 1994 to 1996 by the Obermaubach working group and is open to visitors.
This "Eifel-Bick" is a good place for a rest and there are enough benches available.
In the immediate vicinity of the forest chapel there is a memorial stone in honor of Countess Alveradis von Molbach (approx. 1155 to 1222).
The legend of Alveradis can be read in detail on the information board.

This Eifel view on the Mausauel, above the reservoir Obermaubach, is located at an altitude of 250 m above sea level. NN and offers in north (west) Licher direction a view beyond the reservoir on the last hills of the northern Eifel before the transition to the Jülich-Zülpicher Börde.
The Waldkapelle was built by members of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Obermaubach between December 1994 and May 1996.
