The "Old Seapool" in Saint-Malo is a historic seawater swimming pool on the Bon-Secours beach, located just below the city walls. It was built in 1937 to allow residents and visitors to swim regardless of the tide. The pool fills with fresh seawater at high tide and remains open at low tide, making it always usable. A special feature is the diving board, which is popular with both locals and tourists.

Be sure to hike to Fort Petit Bé at low tide (watch for the incoming tide for the return trip, otherwise you'll have to wait on the island!). Grand Bé is also easily accessible at normal tide.
