In order to continue the existing waterfront promenade, a double bascule bridge for pedestrians and cyclists was built on the old, listed bridge pillars of the former swing bridge. The bridge consists of two fixed bridge parts and two movable flaps in the middle.

Update 2024: Unfortunately, the snack bar had to make way for a new construction project 😒Transition from the new development area on the south pier of the customs port to the north pier. This is to become a recreational area in the future. At the end of the north pier, about 50 meters before the stairs to the railway bridge, there is a snack bar. "Zum Schorsch" is known for its homemade bratwurst and meatballs.
