The Heyweiler Bauernmühle functioned as the town's grain mill from 1893 to 1945.

After the business ceased, the building fell into disrepair and was sold in the early 1950s.

As the building fell into disrepair, renovation was no longer possible, so the formerly single-storey mill was now rebuilt on two storeys on the old foundations in 1971 using the old wooden beams.

Remarkable detail: An old millstone is built into the stairs leading past the building.

A weir and the moat of a mill dike herald the Heyweiler Bauernmühle, where the cooperative of the village on the heights once ground its grain.

The "alpine part" of the Baybachweg towards the Moselle also slowly ends here.

The small half-timbered building was originally built in the years 1893-1894 and served as a local flour mill from 1945. When it became increasingly dilapidated in the 1950s, it was demolished and rebuilt. The old beams were reused and the foundation was taken as the basis. Today it is privately owned by a single owner, while there have been various property disputes in previous years.
