Here stands an interesting model of an old vineyard:
Before metal wires were used in viticulture in the Palatinate and Alsace, vines could only be trained using longitudinal and transverse logs and willow ribbons.

The first vineyard with metal wires was planted in Edenkoben in the 1860s. Since then, work in the vineyard has become much easier, as the rows of vines could now be accessed without obstacles by animals (and later by machines).
