Gravel riding
The current structure, in neoclassical style, was designed by the architect Giacomo Moraglia between 1826 and 1827. On top of the arch are four statues symbolizing the main Lombard rivers: Po, Adda, Ticino, and Olona.
The gate was renamed in honor of Giuseppe Garibaldi after his entry into the city in 1859.
