In Bertolt Brecht's poem "Questions of a Reading Worker," he asks ironically: "Caesar defeated the Gauls. Didn't he at least have a cook with him?" History likes to ignore the many legionaries who had to die for Caesar's plans. The "Agrippastraße" from Cologne via Trier to Lyon is also named after the Roman general who designed it. This Corten steel stele, on the other hand, is dedicated to the unknown soldiers of the Roman army's construction columns.
