The Breva Wein & Weg is an absolute top walking path. Do take into account difficult passages. Not a problem for an experienced hiker and sports enthusiasts. For the older or less experienced hiker, it is important to pay attention, a bit of alpine experience is required! It also requires some fitness as it is a fairly long process! Be sure to allow enough time and don't start if the weather is questionable! But the views you get on this tour are Unique.

"BREVA" is made up of the names of the communities Bruttig-Fankel, Ernst and Valwig, which were involved in the planning and construction of the path. The path leads through steep slopes, which together with the Calmont produce the best Rieslings on the Moselle. This will make it clear to some of you how to classify this path. For the others, there are clear warning signs ;o)

This path is not as well maintained as the Calmont, partly overgrown, in several places you climb over small rockfalls or the path itself has collapsed, often steeply inclined and slippery and sometimes with decent climbs. So lots of fun, but it stops immediately when it rains!

There are not many places where you can easily avoid someone, but there are not that many people on the path either.

On the Breva hiking trail you have many magnificent views of the Moselle and the surrounding vineyards. Good footwear and surefootedness are essential.
