Hiking

Here at the path and border to France is a covered picnic area "An der Wegscheid" and here is also a hidden knight stone No. 7, is almost on the way down to silence. This knight stone serves as an orientation for hikers. At this Wegspinne five paths converge: to Weiller (F), in the Langental, to St. Germanshof, the ruin Guttenberg and as written in silence.

Hiking

The border to France ran here from 1945 to 1986. The dialect forest was claimed by the French after the war as a border correction. At Guttenberg Castle this is explained on a plaque on the keep.
There is a well-kept refuge at the crossroads within sight of the Ritterstein.

The actual border after 1986 is a little further south.
