The bridge is quite narrow and a real bottleneck. For pedestrians there is a sidewalk on both sides, which is sometimes used by scooters. In the evening the bridge is sometimes illuminated.

The Truong Tien Bridge (also Trang Tien Bridge) in the Vietnamese city of Huế is far more than a traffic connection – it is considered one of Vietnam's most important historical and cultural symbols. For over a century, it has connected the two banks of the famous Perfume River (Sông Hương), separating and connecting the historic imperial quarter in the north with the more modern districts in the south.
