Crossless and rather inconspicuous, but lonely elevation.

    Mountaineering

A small peak between the Eschenlaine Valley and the Heimgartenstock. It has a lovely summit meadow, although tall trees unfortunately obscure any view. However, the ascent and descent offer beautiful panoramas.

Tip for the direction of travel: the traverse from the Osterfeuerspitze leads uphill through exposed terrain, sometimes very narrow. I wouldn't want to go down it, but I'm a bit out of practice with mountaineering due to all the cycling. Therefore, it's better to ascend from the Osterfeuerspitze from the west and descend towards the east. And of course, you can also combine the Ölrain with the neighboring Hirschberg.
