A small volcanic embryo. A walk around it is rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view of Beuren, the vineyards, the Beurener Fels and the Hohenneuffen. Around twelve million years ago, more than 300 volcanic explosions ripped through the entire rock package in the Swabian Alb: the basement, the red sandstone, shell limestone, Keuper and the entire Jura. Tuff outcrops on the Dreiangel to Erkenbrechtsweiler and exposed volcanic embryos, such as Engelberg and Hohbölle, are witnesses to this time. There are several benches at the Hohbölle that invite you to take a rest.

Small former volcanic vent directly near Beuren in front of the Albtrauf. There is a bench at the top, but hardly any view.
