The House with Caryatids (Casa cu Cariatide), one of the most famous buildings in Sibiu, is primarily known for its wooden portal framed by two magnificent female statues supporting the wrought-iron balcony on their shoulders.
Also known as the Little Palace, the House with Caryatids is located at 13 Mitropoliei Street and is a late Baroque building.
This new building, constructed after 1786 by the widow of Count Gregorius Bethlen, stands on the site of an older structure, which is known to have been inhabited by the renowned silversmith Sebastian Hann.
