In the 17th century, Benedictine monks planted a vegetable garden on a hill behind the church of St-Mélaine, naming the hill after the biblical Mount Thabor. The park has been open to the public since the 19th century. It consists of a French-style garden, an English landscape park and a botanical garden. Visitors can stroll past water cascades, rare trees, statues, a rose garden and an orangery.
