Tips
Leap over the Emscher is a steel truss bridge over the Emscher culvert on the Rhine-Herne Canal. As a new landmark in Castrop-Rauxel, it spans the Emscher twice and the canal once in a double S-shape. The Emschergenossenschaft, as the builder, has thus created a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the Rhine-Herne Canal and a connection to the Emscherrandweg on both sides.

A beautiful new park at the intersection of the Emscher River and the Rhine-Herne Canal. Restrooms and snack bars are available. The "Jump over the Emscher" bridge is spectacular.
