LWL Industrial Museum Waltrop Lock Park

Great industrial monument - regardless of whether it is a new or old elevator - and a must for lovers of old, impressive technology, which is still wonderfully preserved today. A small beer garden invites you to linger and marvel at the elevator.

The Waltrop lock park includes many sights: in particular, of course, the old and new ship lift as well as the old and new lock, as well as ships, settlements and other structures. A system of paths takes you to pretty (vantage) points above and below the facilities and you can visit individual parts.
