The Mühlbergbrunnen in Zwönitz is designed to commemorate a mill that stood here in the 15th century. Water flows from a four-ton granite stone onto a mill wheel carved into the stone. On the fountain wall, a relief commemorates Matthes Enderlein (1493-1556). He was born in the former mill in 1493, attended the University of Leipzig in 1518, and was then rector of the Schneeberg Latin School.
