Clearly visible from a distance, a very special building stands proudly on a small hill between Hormersdorf and Günsdorf. It is also clearly visible from the road between the two districts and attracts attention.
The war memorial on the Huthübel near Hormersdorf was built in 1929 in honor of those who died in the First World War and was ceremoniously inaugurated in September of the same year.
Large and massive, consisting of tall individual blocks made of natural stone and arranged in a circle, the memorial appears quite monumental.
